About Kayli
Kayli McTague is an Albany native and a proud K-12 graduate of the City School District of Albany.
In her role as Chief of Staff to New York State Senator Patricia Fahy, Kayli has served New Yorkers in the Capital Region and around the state, with a particular focus on programs and policy initiatives that promote equitable access to education and economic opportunities.
Kayli's prior service includes working for the NYS Assembly Committees on Education, Higher Education, Libraries, and Cities/Local Governments, and working as a political operative working to elect underrepresented candidates up and down the ballot in battleground states around the country. Through this work, Kayli helped facilitate a statewide hearing with state legislators, library systems, and stakeholders from around New York to advocate for fair funding for libraries in the NYS Budget.
Since returning to her Capital Region roots, Kayli has been focused on threading the needle with her upbringing in Albany and her professional experience around New York and across the United States. Kayli’s Albany upbringing remains her strongest motivation for seeking a career in public service, and the experience and knowledge gained growing up attending Albany Schools and borrowing books from the Bach Branch continues to inform her advocacy and efforts in the NYS Legislature to support Albany's families and New Yorkers everywhere.
